Our Story

Welcome to LUKA

We are LUKA jewellery, owners of a small design studio near Byron Bay, Australia,  that loves to create bold, unique (one of a kind!) and limited edition jewellery. We are Kirsten Michalek-Wagner and Andreas Wagner, two individuals with a passion for creativity. Being creative every day for our customers makes us happy. We truly believe in the transformative power of a great piece of jewellery, the ability of a piece to make a woman feel beautiful, inspired and even empowered.

Good designs require an ongoing dialogue and collaboration, and for us this process is very much driven by our vastly differing backgrounds and inspirations. While I have worked as a Marine Biologist & Chemist for 25 years prior to designing jewellery full time, Andreas is a multi-award winning graphic designer.

What sets LUKA pieces apart from most other jewellery, is that they are all one of a kind, that the design & bold colours have almost certainly be inspired by a dive or snorkel in the ocean, and that we have collected the stones on our many travels all over the world.

We thoroughly enjoy the meeting & keeping of dialogue with our customers. As we learn more about you, we can create beautiful bespoke pieces inspired by you.
