Embrace the Earth's Spotty Elegance!

Leopard Jasper, also known as Jaguar Stone, is a unique variety of jasper found primarily in Mexico.  Although we call it Jasper, it is a rare type of Rhyolite with orbicular inclusions made through violent volcanic eruptions.  Mixed with tiny Garnet & Carnelian and photographed in the Australian summer sun, these earrings exude a warmth that is mixed with a little bit of elegance. A mood lifter… at least for me!

Beautifully spotted Mexican Leopard Jasper (set into a Sterling silver bezel) mixed with tiny Garnets & Carnelians set into a silver- plated base from Jaipur (7.1cm long).

Leopard Jasper holds cultural significance in Mexican region where it is found. The patterns and colours of Leopard Jasper are seen as representations of the natural landscape and wildlife of the region, including the majestic jaguar, which holds symbolic importance in indigenous cultures.
