Appearing grey at first site, it shimmers in fiery blue greens and gold when taken into the light, – a light phenomenon that only exists in this stone, aptly called “labradorescence”. The Inuit believe the Northern Lights are captured and now live inside the stone – a lore that much more aptly describes the incredible light interplay of Labradorite.
